Terms of service

This page explains what you get, what we won't write, and who is allowed to use a public PRD. Using GeneratePRD means you agree to it.

One purchase, one generation, one PRD

GeneratePRD is a one-shot service. One purchase buys one generation and one PRD. There are no revision rounds in the product. The interview before generation is where you steer the result, so give it real detail before you confirm.

All sales are final in the product flow. Refunds are discretionary and handled manually through Stripe by support. If a failure is clearly on our side and we cannot deliver, contact us and we will make it right.

Moderation and refusal

We may refuse illegal, NSFW, spam, hateful, abusive, or otherwise unsafe product ideas. Moderation runs during intake and always before payment, so a refusal costs you nothing. In the unlikely event a refusal ever happens after payment, support issues a full manual refund.

Founding-100 free PRDs

Founding-100 PRDs are free, published publicly, permanently, under CC BY 4.0, and include a "Generated at GeneratePRD.com" footer. A free PRD is limited to one per GitHub account. Eligibility checks apply, including GitHub account age, account history, server-derived fingerprint history, and pool availability. Deleting an account does not restore a used free slot.

Public and private output rights

License: CC BY 4.0. This PRD is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. Use it freely for anything — including commercial projects. Just credit GeneratePRD.com with a link. Full license text: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

That public license applies to free PRDs and to paid PRDs where you choose the publish-publicly discount. The grant is irrevocable and survives account deletion. Private paid PRDs are yours; we do not publish them or claim rights over what you build from them. We retain a copy only to operate the service until account deletion.

AI-generated output

PRDs are generated by AI systems. We do not warrant that a PRD is correct, complete, buildable, secure, fit for a particular purpose, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing the PRD and anything built from it.

Acceptable use

Do not try to break or farm the free pool, scrape the service at abusive rates, access another user's data, attack the infrastructure, or manipulate the generation agents through injected instructions. We may suspend or block accounts and traffic that abuse the service.

Service levels

Generation times are estimates. Most generations take about 60 to 90 minutes, plus any queue time, but delivery may be delayed. If a generation is taking longer than expected, our systems may requeue it automatically or support may step in to make it right.
